*Please Note: on the Ford Transit Custom 2013-2023, Connect+ is only compatible with models that have rear sensors with oval plugs typically used between 2012 and 2018, and again from September 2022 Onwards. Square plugs were typically used between 2018 and 2022, which are not compatible with Connect+. Please double check the sensors on your vehicle before ordering or contact our team for more information.
Effortless Rear Access and Quick Trailer Attachment – The perfect way to make entering the cargo area of your van easier and safer, while still being able to tow a trailer as and when needed.
Removable centre section and tread infill piece - A tread infill piece helps to reduce the gap between the centre step section and tow ball to accommodate for smaller tow ball fittings.
Wide towing angle - The TowStep allows trailers to complete an impressive industry leading turning angle of 110 degrees.
Anti-slip tread plates and reflective strip - With user safety in mind, the Rhino TowStep features anti-slip tread plates for extra grip in wet or frozen conditions and a reflective strip for better visibility. Gaps in the tread let water run-through for the same reason.
Ridged steel support frame - The TowStep tread is mounted onto a robust steel frame, providing a safe and secure entry point to the rear of your vehicle. A unique 2 coat process of electro-paint primer and polyester black powder coating ensures maximum corrosion resistance.
Compatible with Dixon-Bate tow balls – As well as an extensive range of other UK and European tow balls.
Choice of colours – Black for a seamless finish on all vans or yellow for even better visibility.
Three reverse sensor options:
Standard – The step doesn’t come with any reverse sensors – perfect if you van doesn’t either. If it does, the step may interfere with your vehicle’s sensors, and we would recommend one of the below options.
With reverse sensors – The step comes with a reverse sensor kit which can be fitted to the step and then wired into the vehicle’s electronics (an auto-electrician may be required depending on the complexity of how this is configured in the vehicle.
Connect+ (not available for all vehicles) - Our innovative solution of allowing your vehicle’s original parking sensors to be seamlessly integrated into a Rhino step, via a simple 'plug and play' solution. You just need to pop the sensors out of your van, put them into our step, and then use the cables provided to link the sensors back to the van’s wiring loom. Some vehicles may require the bumper to be removed.
